My first print release!

Wed Apr 1, 2009, 6:24 PM
  • Mood: Fear
  • Listening to: Vincent Price - Death Valley High/Pandora
Since "Wonder" has been so popular, I've decided to release it as a print!

It's an archival pigment print of my work, reproduced from an original illustration entitled "Wonder". The information is as follows:

Artist: Marlana Adele Vassar, a.k.a. Marlana
Title: “Wonder”
Medium: Archival Pigment Print
Paper: Hahnemuhle German Etch
Paper Size: 12" x 18.5"
Image Size: 10" x 16.5"
150 numbered edition prints, with 140 available for public purchase.

Printed at the Silicon Gallery of Olde City, Philadelphia PA

This limited edition was finalized on March 10, 2009. Each print is signed, titled and numbered by Marlana and bears the Silicon chop in the lower left-hand corner. Proofs were retained by the artist. Each print also contains a provenance in the form of a signed certificate of authenticity.

$75 is the starting price, and may increase as the edition decreases.
..

You can purchase through Ebay or Etsy.

Thanks! And please tell your friends!

~ Marlana

..

Because this print is produced in conjunction with a gallery, I have to physically go to the gallery to pick up the prints. I'm still in the "starving" phase of my career and have a day job, so the only time I can do pickups are on Saturdays. Also, I do not ship prints until your funds have cleared. Please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery within the USA. (although I doubt it will take that long.)

And it's a very new account. :) I added you too. (Hi, this is Moncsi.)
:icontheartistmarlana:
Hi Moncsi! It's great to hear from you. This is a new account for me too, just testing the waters abit. How have you been?
:iconkatatsumuli:
I've been well. I'm in Clarion PA studying biology. I got married, did I tell you that? (And my account's not new, but I haven't used it much.) When did you move to New York? When did you see Elwin? I thought he lived in Washington D.C. Congratulations on winning that art show!!
:iconkatoma:
Hey! I didn't know you had deviant art! So I added you! This is Jen :D

Hey Jen thank you for the add. I had another one for awhile but decided to phase that one out, and started this one a few weeks ago.

Awww, thank you so much for the watch! What a blessing... :)

You're very welcome! Your ink work is wonderful, it's inspiring me to start inking again myself.
:iconskritchmeee:
Oh, I'm flattered... and I'm glad you're inspired to pick up ink again. I'd encourage you to be meticulous, but at the same time to think of ink as an adventure in itself, not a tracing project. Tracing is boring, but sculpting a pencil sketch into a feast for the eye is far from boring. :D Also, it should inform your choice of drawing paper so that you can leave open the possibility of inking your drawings - unless you wish to invest in a light box, which is hardly cheap.
